We partnered up with Waves for Water to provide a short term solution to the +30 days water crisis that the Cerro Calero neighborhood was facing after the passing of Cat 5 Hurricane María. By providing the SAWYER PointONE Filter Kit and offering key community leaders training sessions for their use and management, we created 10 clean water stations that covered +100 families. From spring, to river and rain water, residents can now collect it,  filtered it at their closest station, and drink clean water instantly.

We profoundly thank Otto Flores from the inspiring company Patagonia for reaching out, and his crew, Gabriel Villarán, Ethan Lovell, and Patrick Baird. You are a great pack of souls.

We encourage you to read Otto’s piece How a Storm Can Change your Life: María. And we will get back to you for some long term stuff.

We appreciate immensely your short visit. ¡Buen día!

Disclaimer: We didn't create the Clean Water Stations, the residents did. We just helped fillin' in the gaps.
